Pile of yarn and a spindle

As The Yarn Turns

The tales of how I squeeze knitting and spinning into an already full life
Tue, 16 Mar 2004

I actually got some work done on my sweater last night! Just another inch and a half and I'll be done with one sleeve. Then just one more sleeve to go. Here's how the sleeve looks so far.The yarn is Elann's Peruvian Collection Sierra, a combination of wool and alpaca. It's really nice stuff and blooms nicely when it's washed.

And I noticed that I still have at least one baby Tetra left. I know I'll be lucky to have any left since it's not exactly the best tank to raise baby fish. Plus I'm totally unprepared for this. It's been fun though.

Well I actually got some knitting in yesterday, not much but at least I was able to work on the sleeves of my cable pullover. I always seem to wind down when I get to the sleeves. If it doesn't get cold again this month, at least it will be ready for next winter. I went to our local knitting group and no one seemed to be in the mood to knit. The beautiful spring weather we're having must be affecting everyone's knitting.

I found these great old graphics yesterday from OldFashionedClipArt.com while I was working on my genealogy web site. Black and white drawings of course, but some very nice ones.

My other news is I have baby fish. I had bought some tetras a while back and put them into the quarantine tank for a couple of weeks. So yesterday I went to clean out the tank so I could buy a few more tetras, (I had moved the others out last weekend.) and there were baby fish in there. Don't know if they will survive, but it's exciting anyway.
