Cabled Sweater is Finished!

Well it's close to being finished anyway. It's been rainy and dreary here lately so the picture isn't the best in the world. I just need to weave in a couple of ends and block it. The really good news is that once I got the seams finished, the sleeve length is just about right. The sweater itself looks a little shorter in length than I thought it would be before I seamed it. I never expected it to be a long sweater though. All in all I'm very pleased with it. I'm sure I'll be more pleased with it once I wash and block it and quit trying it on over a bulky oversized t-shirt. I'll post of picture of me modeling it once it's blocked. Otherwise I've been slugging along on the Rambling Rows afghan and squeezing in a little spinning here and there.

Halloween

It's become a Halloween tradition for us to put on a magic show for the neighborhood. It started out with Rick doing a trick or two for trick or treaters. We get a LOT of trick or treaters so we expanded to a full show in our garage last year. Last year we had about 50 people watching our show. This year we had about 150 people. If this keeps up we'll need a bigger garage. Everyone, including us, had a blast though. We literally plan for this and build illusions all year long. It's worth it when you see what a great time everyone has. 'Til next time.
