Helen Keller Week

Yes, it Helen Keller Festival week here in the Shoals. It's a week of arts and crafts, athletic events, music, and of course a whole month of the play, The Miracle Worker. It's usually a fun time with lots going on, so come by if you're in the area. Personally I'm waiting for the Lucky Ducky Derby and the Arts and Crafts Show.

On the knitting front, everything is still going along without much in the way of problems. Well that is until I wound this next ball of yarn. Now I don't usually mind the occasional knot but this skein had three knots, three knots in cotton yarn. With wool I can split splice. With cotton, that's just more ends I have to weave in. I may save this skein until the end. The actual knitting is going fine though.

I have this eclectic collection of knitting needles ranging from really old to new. Usually I prefer metal needles with good points but sometimes I'll use wood, bamboo, or plastic with a particular yarn. So check it out if you're interested. I'm going to go wrestle with my cotton yarn.
