We Have a Sleeve

It's gong to be 22 degrees F tonight and I just finished a sleeve for a summer top. Sometimes I wonder about myself, but I swear just two days ago it was 78 degrees. That's okay, I know our weather. Sometime during the dead of winter when I least expect it, the temperature will get back up to 70 degrees again. Besides I'm ready with something new for spring now.

I really like making short sleeves. Mostly because it takes almost no time to finish them. This one was no exception.

Sleeve for Shapely Tee

With three ferrets and a cat, taking a picture of my knitting without a furry helper can be challenging. Today's helper is Phoebe, who provided the needed contrast for the colors to come out close to the real thing. Okay, sure I could have moved it but then you wouldn't have the chance to see Phoebe. So one more sleeve to go and I'll be sewing it together and weaving in the ends. I think I'll go start on it.

Struggling to Knit

I had every intention of posting an entry yesterday, but computer problems plagued our day from the moment I woke up. Since that's what we do for a living, well, blogging and knitting feel by the wayside. There must be something in the air. I've noticed lots of computer problems on the blogs and lists I read. Enough about computer problems though. Luckily I managed to get some knitting in over the weekend. The Mountain Colors Bearfoot sock is moving right along. I should be ready for the toe decreases soon.

I'm really liking these socks. Aimee right; it's going to be hard to use anything else for socks. I've also started on the sleeves for the Shapely Tee. It's been stormy all day so no pictures this time.

Needle Felting Fun

The other thing I've been doing is playing around with needle felting. This is only the second thing I've made. The first one was a flower. This time I made a man in the moon face.

It's just a silly little thing but it was a fun diversion. You can take out all of your frustrations while you are stabbing your felt. Plus it gives you an excuse to buy more fiber or just use up those leftover bits of yarn and fiber. What more can you ask from a few moments of silliness.
