Saturday Sky in Atlanta

Today's Saturday Sky comes to you from Atlanta where the highs are forecast to be a balmy 84 F with a chance of showers. This is the view from the front of Rick's parents house this morning.

Saturday Sky from Atlanta

The trip over to Atlanta was good but hot. Each of the ferrets got a chance for some quality lap time.

Balt got a chance to practice his driving, although he had a little trouble keeping his eyes on the road.

"It's going to take at least 3 ferrets to drive this thing."

We've had a fun, relaxing trip but very little knitting. I'll post more pictures from our trip later.

It's Hot

It's been so hot I haven't really felt like doing much knitting. Everywhere I've gone the past few days, the air conditioners have been struggling to keep up. Yesterday it was 100 degrees with a heat index of something like 107. Course when the temperatures get that high, I'm not sure the heat index makes it any worse. It's still way too hot. Since I haven't really felt like knitting, I've spent more time planning future knitting. First there is this.

Cotton yarn

You know what the appearance of Sugar 'n Cream and Peaches and Creme yarn means? That's right, more bibs. I found out there is another baby coming so what better reason to crank out more bibs. I'm seriously thinking about knitting a few up just to have on hand for future babies.

I also realized that I need to start working on my mittens for the Bitchin' Mittens knit along so I've been stash diving looking for possible yarn candidates. Course it would help if I had an actual plan for the mittens. I'm working a little backwards this time.

We're taking a long weekend to visit Rick's parents this weekend. The ferrets get to go with us so grandma and grandpa get to see their furry grandkids. Katie gets to stay here. I hope to blog while I'm gone but if the cyberuniverse doesn't cooperate, I'll see you on Sunday or Monday. In the meantime, even the ferrets are sleeping more and playing less.
