Approaching Normality

The magic shows are over and I've spent the last 24 hours getting some much needed sleep. The house is still a disaster zone though. For the past week, it seems like we've raced in to sleep, take care of animals, do a bit a laundry, try to catch up on things, eat, and leave again. The magic shows all went very well but I'm glad that I don't have to wear anything that's black, spandex, or sparkles for a while. I also picked up whatever disease has been going around here so I had to get some medicine from the doctor this morning. The medicine and sleep are doing their own magic and I'm starting to feel much better. If the blog seems even more disconnected that normal, that's why.

Halloween was very wet here. Normally we do magic for the trick or treaters on Halloween but this year we decided to do magic at the mall. It turned out to be a good thing since it was pouring rain for much of last night and this morning. Halloween at the mall isn't the same but it was still fun.

I'm way behind on answering questions in the comments, and reading blogs. Crazy for Yarn in Alabama asked if I ever combine magic and knitting. I keep thinking about it and I have a few ideas. I might try it one of these days.

Chris at Stumbling Over Chaos started a meme to show our most used knitted items. My two most used items are my fingerless mittens and my holder for my ipod mini.

Fingerless mitts and ipod holder

Both are made with bits of my handspun yarn. My fingerless mittens are always with me in cold weather. In fact, I think I'll make myself another pair. I use my ipod holder a lot too. Next to those two items, I wear my handknit socks a lot. I have some sweaters and summer tops that I wear a lot but nothing that stands out more than others.

Okay I'm going to get off of here and do that sleep thing again. Later...
