Thanksgiving

The turkey is in the oven.

The ferrets are crazy and excited.

"But Mom, it's Thanksgiving!"

I finally decided which shawl I'm going to knit.

Kiri shawl in progress

Life is good. After going back and forth a few times, I decided on the Kiri Shawl and Kidsilk Haze yarn. I like mohair but knitting mohair lace is like knitting dryer lint. It's still at that early deceptive stage where it seems to progress quickly, but only because there are so few stitches on the needles.

I hope everyone here in the US has a wonderful Thanksgiving. For those in other parts of the world, have a great day.

Sunshine Socks

We finally had some sunshine today after many days of rain and gloom and according to today's forecast we'll have sunshine the rest of the week. Knitting the bright socks must be helping. They're still moving right along.

That's our dove Sophie checking out the socks in the upper right corner.

I thought I would catch up on blogs this weekend but every time I went to my Bloglines Blogroll, that plumber popped up. So maybe I'll be able catch up this coming weekend.

I'm off to make some cornbread for stuffing. I'll leave you with the couple of wrestling ferrets, Balt and Phoebe. They've a lot more active in the mornings with the colder weather. At least once I can talk them into getting out of their warm beds.
