Blogiversary and Feet

Depending on how you look at it, this blog is either three quarters of a year old or three years old. On leap day 2004, I started this blog without much of a plan except that it would involve knitting. Some days I still don't know what I'm going to talk about. I wasn't even sure I would enjoy it when I started. I've had a blast with it though. I've met a lot of people, learned a lot from the interactions, and had a lot of fun. What more could you ask for?

I have been knitting, I just don't have any pictures that look much different from the previous pictures. There's been a little knitting on Kiri Shawl.

I've also done some sock knitting and afghan square knitting, but things are hectic this week and progress is slow.

So what could be better than posting pictures of feet. La has suggested we post pictures of DeFeet of Cuteness in our life. This is just what I need this week. First up, we have sleepy Katie cat feet and nose.

Then we have happy Phoebe ferret feet.

Not to be outdone, Zoe also has happy ferret feet.

Last but not least, we have Sophie dove feet.

Just Another Random Monday

Bloglines has been dropping some blogs off of my blog roll. It seems to be mostly Blogger blogs. I think I've got them all back now, but Bloglines also shuffled by blogs all around so I could still be missing some. Sigh.

I've been knitting squares and rectangles for Rebekah's Blanket of Hope. I didn't realize until I started knitting these squares, just how boring my yarn is. I seem to have a lot of navy and gray and brown. Anyway, I still have a few more to knit before I ship them off. Here's what I have so far.

I thought I was going to be knitting a few quick premie hats for a while this morning. A friend's daughter is expecting twins in April, except she was in a car accident over the weekend. She only had a few bruises but she started to go into labor. Fortunately, they were able to stop it though and all is well so far.

Finally, Rick got a couple of new ham radio antennas and other equipment so I spent some of the weekend helping him with that while the weather was nice. (Somehow we missed all of the bad weather this weekend.) It also means we have some long narrow cardboard boxes that make perfect ferret tunnels.

"Ha! I'm first in the box."

"Will you hurry up, Phoebe!"
