Poetry and a Cat

Since this is poetry month and I missed the silent poetry reading a while back, I thought I would give all of you a bit of poetry and culture. Besides I don't have any knitting that's worth showing right now. It's been cool and windy here lately, so I thought this one was appropriate.

Wind on the Hill
by A. A. Milne from Now We Are Six

No one can tell me,
Nobody knows
Where the wind comes from,
Where the wind goes.

It's flying from somewhere
As fast as it can,
I couldn't keep up with it,
Not if I ran.

But if I stopped holding
The string of my kite,
It would blow with the wind
For a day and a night.

And then when I found it,
Wherever it blew,
I should know that the wind
Had been going there too.

So then I could tell them
Where the wind goes
But where the wind comes from
Nobody
knows.

I leave you with this picture of Katie. This is how I'm feeling today. I just want to put my head on a pile of socks, even if they aren't hand knit socks.

The Weekend

We had a nice relaxing weekend. The weather was good. We had a few showers but otherwise it was nice. Most important, we didn't do much other than some household stuff, a bit of cleaning and repairing. It was a good weekend.

Today was also a good mail day. My prize from La of JenLa came for the Tootsie contest. Some cute stitch markers.

Stitch markers and card

If you can't read them they say: Be Good, Be Kind, Be Yourself, Love Much, and create. I like them. Thanks La!

I even have a FO to show. Well it's almost finished. I need to buy some buttons and tuck in the ends.

Katie, uh, modeling a bib

Well, uh, sorry about that. It seems Katie is uncooperative and refused to model the bib.
