Coffee Swap Package and a Meme

Thanks for the anniversary wishes! I got home after work on Friday to find a large Knitters' Coffee Swap package from Cheryl at the door. It couldn't have been better time since it had been a long week.

Coffee Swap package

Cheryl sent me a wonderful package of goodies. I got some Starbucks Italian Roast coffee, which will be great for espresso, some Austermann Step sock yarn in coffee colors, some gorgeous laceweight silk yarn in a greenish gold color that almost exactly matches the stripe on the Starbucks bag, a nice coffee scoop, some cookies, after dinner mints, chocolate covered espresso beans, more chocolate, and a kitchen soap bar made with coffee. Oh, and I also got a nice tall Starbucks mug that's not shown because I had already used it and forgot to put it in for the photo. Many thanks Cheryl!

I've been tagged by April and Christa for the 7, or 8, random facts about myself meme. Well Susan was going to tag me too but figured I was too busy. Right now I could use some extra blog fodder. It's actually been a while since they tagged me but I'm just now getting to it. I *think* I did this before but I'm too lazy to look for it, so some of these may be repeats.

1. I actually like to exercise, but I don't always keep up my exercise routine.

2. I love tomato sauces but I can't stand raw tomatoes.

3. When I was in high school, I found a opossum in the yard and brought into the house. I'm not sure which one was more frightened, my mom or the opossum.

4. I have a wastewater treatment plant operator certification from one of my previous lives.

5. I sleep very soundly. Years ago the apartment building next to mine burned to the ground during the night and slept through it.

6. I am NOT a morning person. I can be almost incoherent in the morning before my first cup of coffee kicks in.

7. I worked for a veterinarian when I was in high school.

I'm going to break the rules and not tag anyone for this. If you're reading this and want to do it, consider yourself tagged.
