A Sunday Diversion

It's a diversion because things are still busy here and there isn't any knitting progress worth showing. Besides just the usual stuff we have going on, our aging water heater was failing. It had lived a long and useful life so we decided to replace it before things got really bad. Easier said than done. Well the buying was easy. Getting the darn thing installed was not. Due to a series of communication problems, we kept setting up appointments only to have no one show up with the water heater. Thankfully we finally got it installed yesterday morning.

Several comments came up last time about the Knit Picks Chart Keeper. Imbrium asked how large it is. It will hold a standard 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper. It's a wee bit bigger than that, but not much. Jane commented that she wished the magnets were stronger. The magnets aren't super strong by any means. They are strong enough for a sheet or two of standard paper. More than that and they don't hold as well. In other words, don't count on putting the entire pattern on there if it's several pages thick. The more I use it, the more I like it though.

In spite of the drought here (15 inches below normal for the year), there are a few flowers blooming. Some of them look better than they have in wetter. First up is a not so good picture of my Alliums. I just think they are so cool.

There's the last of my lilies too.

Clyde is still growing, except now he's mostly growing longer. Here's a belly shot just for Chris.

Katie was dozing off on the couch and couldn't be bothered with a belly shot.
