Mystery Stole Started

First for those of you who were wondering, no lace was harmed while taking pictures of my Kiri Shawl with Clyde. It's pretty tough stuff that doesn't even unravel easily.

I received my beads from the BeadWrangler in record time on Thursday. Originally I had thought I could find them locally but no such luck. I found the right size but not the right colors. I know a lot more about seed beads now. So I was able to start on the Mystery Stole 3 over the weekend. The first chart went quickly. Course the rows are short too. Here's my progress through Chart A, not stretched. I'm using coned yarn so it's not as stretchy as it will be once it's washed. I just too lazy to wash, skein, and wind it into a ball.

The yarn is some camel yarn (I think) from my endless supply that was given to me a while back. The bead color is Topaz Rainbow. I started to use larger beads but I was afraid it would weigh it down too much. Hopefully I can at least finish up Clue 1 this week and maybe even start on Clue 2. We'll see.

"But mom, what about my lacey blanket you're making."
