Too Hot to Knit

It's still scorching hot here. I've tried to knit, but the heat is sucking out all of my energy and frying my brain. The good news is that we're actually supposed to have temperatures below 100 over the weekend. I'll just be happy to open my blinds again without it turning the house into an oven.

I have done a little knitting on the Mystery Stole 3. Right now I'm a little over halfway through Clue 3.

Mystery Stole 3

It actually goes quickly, for lace, when I manage to sit down and work on it. Right now I'm pretty sure I'm going to make it into a symmetrical stole. Mostly because it will probably become a gift and I'm not sure the recipient would like an asymmetrical stole.

It also ended up being a good mail day on Monday. I received my Project Spectrum CD mix prize from Chris.

Clyde checking out the envelope

"Hmm... this envelop smells like a black cat from Minnesota. I didn't realize cats came in black."

Zoe checking out the prize

"Don't be silly, Clyde. Cats come in all colors. Besides it's two black cats from Minnesota."

The Project Spectrum colors are orange, brown, and purple. The CD is full of orange, brown, and purple themed music. It's been fun listening to it in the car on the way to and from work. She also included an orange Harry Potter note pad and a cute cat card. Thanks Chris!

So since my brain is too fried to type much, I'll leave you will an interesting post on another blog. One of the blogs I read is Dolitter, a blog written by a veterinarian. The other day she had a post about knitting and surgery. It's an inspiring knit-related post.
