A Tired Look in My Bag

I'm still here. Rick hurt his back last week so my plate has been a little more full than normal with a little less sleep than normal. There hasn't been much knitting here either. Rick is mobile again and feeling better though, so knitting and posting progress should improve. I'm still on Clue 4 for the Mystery Stole 3. Clue 4 is easier than the previous clues so I've been making more progress when I do have time to sit down and knit.

Mystery Stole 3 progress

A while back Chris showed the contents of her bag. Since I was planning on switching out bags anyway, it seemed like a good time to show you the contents of mine. Besides, it's about the most exciting thing I have to show right now. I have a number of totes and briefcases and such, so I generally just switch them out every now and then. I also usually have a purse, or something I'm using as a purse, that I can shove in there. Today I have a couple of helpers to make sure I get everything transferred over.

Partial contents of my bag

"So this is what you've been hiding in those bags!" - Clyde

From left to right in this first picture there's a couple of file folders and extra papers from work. The black pencil bag has pens, pencils, a little stapler, tape, glue stick, etc. In the middle is a journal, some colored pencils, and some pens I got on sale at Office Depot. On the right is a book, some playing cards for magic tricks, and a mini orange multimeter that gets more use than I thought it would.

The rest of the contents of my bag

"I think I found what I want. How about you, Katie?" - Clyde

From more or less upper left to right, there's my iPod, some of Rick's pill samples that ended up in my purse with a USB drive hidden underneath, an Office Depot coupon that has probably expired, and my sock bag with the comb on top. To the right of the sock bag is my checkbook and a little turquoise case with chapstick, nail clippers, etc. Below that is my phone case (phone is being charged) and some pens. To the right of that is my wallet. Down below on the right are my keys. Then pile to the left has a contact lens case, a stray piece of paper, my business card holder, a wet nap, a little Swiss army knife, and a set of my pills in case I go out without taking them in the morning.

The bag

"Wow, you did get everything in there." - Katie

All of that goes into this bag with a few extra pens. It's probably good that I change bags periodically since I tend to accumulate bits of paper and files. When it's not related to work, I'll stick the essentials in another bag that can easily get stuff in the big bag. I keep looking for the perfect combination.

I should be able to get back to a semi-normal posting schedule.
