Aaahhh, That's Better

Other than a few hours work we may have to do next week, we're off until next year. The house is a disaster area since we've barely had time to pick up after ourselves lately but we have no plans for the next 10 days. It feels wonderful. We finally got a tree a few days ago and finished decorating it this morning. The first ornament on the tree was the ornament from the exchange.

Luckily this year the ferrets and cat are more fascinated with the tree itself than the ornaments. Clyde decided he needed to climb the tree before we even finished getting it put up. Luckily it's more fun to play under the tree skirt than it is to climb the tree.

There has been almost no knitting lately but I'm looking forward to some quality knitting and spinning time over the holidays. I just have some wrapping, baking, and a few other things to do and I'll be ready for Christmas. A couple of weeks ago I found Amaryllis bulbs on sale at the drugstore. I couldn't resist. Today it looks gorgeous.

Dexter is fitting in very well. He's still a chunky ferret and I'm not sure that he has lost any weight. He is definitely more fit now thanks to Clyde keeping him on the run. The two of them have become best friends. They both love playing in the water.

"Think we'll find some treasures in here, Clyde?" - Dexter

That seems to suit Zoe just fine since she can do her own thing while they are playing. Katie is happy because she has one more ferret to chase. I plan to post more frequently during the holidays and catch up a bit.
