About Me My name is Sydney, woman of many hobbies. Some of my interests are painting and drawing, knitting, spinning, genealogy, and other crafts that catch my fancy. I'm also interested in investing and computer programming. I live in Alabama with my husband Rick, 2 ferrets, a cat, and a number of fish. Why DoctorDirt? Because I have a degree in Soil Science.

The Alden Amos Big Book of Handspinning  A good basic spinning reference but the style of the writing is often controversial.
