Pile of yarn and a spindle

As The Yarn Turns

The tales of how I squeeze knitting and spinning into an already full life

F is for ....

F is for some of the beautiful Fiber that's waiting for me to spin. There's Linda's beautiful Corriedale batts from Grafton Fibers. I discovered that Yarn Expressions in Huntsville carried them and I had to grab some. My picture really doesn't do them justice.

Then there's the Icelandic fiber from Spunky Eclectic with those beautiful blues.

F is for Fiber

I can't seem to bring myself to spin this gorgeous fiber from Carol The Silkworker. It seems better to make it a centerpiece for a table. I'm afraid my spinning skills are good enough to do it justice.

F is for Fiber

Finally F is also for Ferrets running through tubes. Can you see two ferrets?

Other Stuff

Last week was a crazy week. There was some fun but a couple of work-related crises too. Overall I'm glad to be done with it. Surely this week will be calmer. The weekend has been nice and relaxing though. Too dreary and drippy to do anything outside but a nice weekend to hang around the house and relax.

I can't remember if I mentioned this before but Debby's husband Chris at She Knits By the Seashore is participating in the Get Your Guts in Gear bike ride for Crohn's disease and colitis. Each person who donates will be eligible to win some yarn named after last year's spokescat, Charlie.
