J is for Just Another Sock Update and Meme

I know I'm stretching the J thing. Can you tell I'm not feeling very inspired, not to mention behind on the ABC Along again? Since I seemed to be stuck on J, I decided to just bulldoze on past it with some knitting progress and a meme. The Monkey socks are moving right along, even though I haven't been working on them that much. (Click to embiggen)

J is for ....

"Oh, what's this?" - Katie

J is for ...

"Nevermind, it's Just a foot" - Katie

J is for ....

snort - "Ah, a foot with a sock on it too!" - Clyde

Anyway, you get the idea. Which reminds me, I noticed in my internet wanderings that Viesso makes scratchable custom cat cube furniture in several colors of sisal upholstery.

Finally it's Just a meme that's been going around. The cats at the House of 9 Lives actually tagged me weeks ago but first I got busy and then I Just forgot. While I busy with other things, Katie cat and the ferrets filled it out for me.

1. What were you doing 10 years ago?

Uh, none of us are even 10 years old.

2. 5 things on my to do list today.

Ferrets: Sleep, eat, wrestle, sleep, eat.

Katie: sleep, eat, watch the birds outside the window, chase the ferrets, sleep

3. Snacks I enjoy

Katie: whole wheat bread (especially homemade) and crackers

Zoe: Katie's food, chicken

Clyde: chicken, watermelon, Katie's food, those treats the 9 cats sent

Dexter: If it's edible, it must be a snack.

4. Things I would do if I were a billionaire

Katie: Tear the carpet out and replace it with edible grass. Get more birds and maybe convince some to come inside. Get more of those Target scratching things.

Zoe: Get me a hiding place where the boys can't find me. They can be so annoying some times. Buy lots of stuffed animals. Get an outdoor playpen.

Clyde: Rig up an alarm system so I know when someone comes in the door so I can greet them.

Dexter: Get more food and find a way to tie up Katie. She chases me too much.

5. Three of my bad habits

Katie: I don't have any bad habits, no matter what the ferrets say.

Zoe: Well I have a little problem with stealing stuff, especially cell phones, stuffed animals, and rope. Oh, and Katie's food.

Clyde: Biting Dad's toes (I just can't help myself), stealing Katie's food, splashing water out of the water dish.

Dexter: Eating too much, eating soap, digging in stuff.

6. Five places I've lived

Katie: I've only lived here and the animal shelter and some other place I don't remember.

Zoe and Clyde: Mostly I've lived here but I was born in New York and lived in the pet store for a while..

Dexter: I lived in the pet store and then with some other people and then in the pet store again. I think I'll stay here though.

7. Five jobs I've had.

Katie: alarm clock, bird watcher, ferret wrangler, bed warmer, food soccer player

Zoe: ferret trainer, package inspector, network administrator, stuffed animal herder, tube runner

Clyde: door greeter, assistant network administrator, tube runner, underwater explorer (I like to see what's under the surface), radio equipment inspector

Dexter: food tester, tube runner, the assistant to the assistant network administrator, scientist (I'm testing the theory that you can dig to China.), shallow water diving

That's it! I'm not going to tag anyone so if you want to do this meme, go for it.
