A Cooling Trend in More Ways Than One

Maybe this time I can remember to actually publish my feed. ( I forgot last time.) Not much in the way of fibery activities going on here the past few days. It's been too hot. It finally cooled down to the 80s today though. This morning's crisis (mornings usually involve a crisis, real or imagined, around here) involved a ferret. As I was walking through the kitchen this morning, I heard scratching. It sounded like it was coming from the dining room where Rick has his boxes of magic tricks stashed. I figured that was Clyde so I yelled at Clyde to get out of the magic and went to pour myself a cup of coffee. Sometime later Rick heads for the door to leave. Zoe is there. Dexter is there but no Clyde. Clyde has Rick's schedule memorized. He's always at the door so he can dash out onto the porch. Zoe and Dexter will often be there when they're in the mood. Rick and I agree that this is highly unusual so Rick leaves and I start looking and calling for Clyde. I'm calling and whistling. Zoe and Dexter are following me around the house. No Clyde. I look behind Rick's boxes. No Clyde. At this point I'm starting to get worried. Then I notice Zoe sitting beside the fridge. I walk up and hear scratching in the fridge so I open the door and there is Clyde standing on the top shelf covered in bits of Styrofoam and very happy to be set free. I had no idea there was Styrofoam in the walls of our fridge. Apparently he slipped in the fridge when one of us opened the door this morning. Both Clyde and the fridge are fine but Clyde has no interest in checking out the fridge now. Too bad I didn't think to take a picture of him in the fridge.

I've done a little bit of spinning on my Icelandic fiber. It's been an easy spin and I like the way it looks.

The ferrets have been active in the morning when it's cooler. Otherwise they nap during the day. There's always time for a wrestling match though, especially with Clyde and Dexter..
