Bullet Post: Knitting, Cranes, and Christmas trees

Time for a bullet post to knock off some random stuff that has been going on.

- I know this will be shocking but I actually finished the back of my jacket. Now that it is off of the needles, I swear it seems a centimeter or two shorter that it did on the needles. It's alpaca so there is a good chance it will get longer.

Jacket back

- I thought I would block it on the beach towel for that extra eye shocking effect.

- I haven't started the fronts because I realized I needed to knit a quick gift or two.

- For the past couple of years a flock of whooping cranes migrates over our area lead by a person in a whooping crane suit flying an ultralight aircraft. Right now they are in a secret location across the border in Tennessee. They have been there for several days because of our lousy flying weather. They are hoping to try and leave tomorrow.

- I thought about driving up to the viewing location in the morning, about an hour away but I don't know if I am up for making the drive if the weather is going to be iffy. I will still have another chance at the next stop south of here. Maybe I will get lucky and they will fly over the house. They got stuck here for several days last year too.

- I have become addicted to dark chocolate covered marzipan. Luckily it is hard to find around here.

- The Christmas tree is up. It has lights on it but no decorations yet. I will get to that some time this week.

- Right now the ferrets think the tree is fun without decorations. They have been playing hide and seek in the tree skirt. They will probably steal a few decorations once I get them on. That is Dexter with his back to us and Clyde in the back. Zoe is somewhere under the tree skirt.

"Hey Clyde, you want to go 2 out of 3 falls under the tree skirt?" - Dexter
